Little Girls and Little Kids

I've been so busy trying to get all the Disney photos posted (which I promised Brett I would do), that I haven't put up a single baby goat photo.

So I thought you would all really enjoy this video.

Wrinkle City

We were very excited when we found out that Grandma and Poppy were part time Disney employees and could get us into Disney for free. But see, the problem is, they only have so many free passes. And... well... if we were an average sized family it wouldn't be a problem. But we're not exactly an average sized family.

But Grandma and Poppy have a great group of friends (who Poppy sarcastically affectionately refers to as the Wrinkle City Gang). These guys have been wonderful to us and have given us some extra free passes, and rented strollers for us, and sewn us table skirts, and baked us brownies, and crocheted us elephant purses, and bought us baby presents, and just generally loved us.

We were really happy that they came to visit us at the All Star Sports and had drinks and lunch:

So thanks, Wrinkle City Gang, we love you!

Jade

Jade had so much fun at Disney, but it wore her out a little:

Grey Bear

Colter is the serious one. Greyden's... not:

My Colter

Colter is such an awesome young man. He is so strong and so capable. And he's also a real cutie:

He's going to make some young lady very happy some day. Til then, he makes me happy. (Most of the time) ;)

Norway

Norway (in Epcot) had a little ride and a movie about the country. Afterwards they let you out through their gift shop. Hmmmm.... not sure that was a great idea:

Do you know what it took to get the children to put down those weapons?

Especially Jade:

Animal Kingdom

Animal Kingdom was the one day we went into the park that it rained.

Which was a bummer.

Or was it...

Normally we just get to watch the Lion King Show (our favorite section to sit in is the Lion Section).

But not this year.

This year we got to participate.

Twice.

Emery, Fletcher, and Greyden got to teach everybody how to put their paws into the air and roar like a lion:

And then everyone got to dance around the guy on stilts during the grand finale:

We were so lucky special! (The rain and the lack of people and the fact that we were the only ones in matching shirts so we were really obvious had absolutely nothing to do with us being chosen. Of course not.)

Here are the only other pictures I have of any of the children from the entire time we were at Animal Kingdom:

Notice that the older children are conspicuously absent. Know why? Because they rode the Expedition Everest roller coaster six times! Which is another good part about being in the park on a rainy day. Multiple, multiple roller coaster rides.

And time to get your picture taken with Turk and Baloo.

Being wet was worth the sacrifice!

Hollywood Studios Block Party Bash

We love to enjoy the different parades at the park. But probably our favorite parade is the Hollywood Studios Block Party.

It is so interactive and fun for the children. The parade stops at different points and put on a show. While you're waiting for the show to reach you, they get the kids out with a parachute:

Then they sucker the parents (and grandparents) into helping:

(Notice that Jim and Poppy are conspicuously absent).

They have Bugs Life:

They have Monsters Incorporated:

They have Toy Story:

This army guy was my favorite. We often get lots of comments about wearing matching colors. But he came up with the best line when he said, "You come hundreds of miles to a party just to find someone is wearing the same outfit as you!"

They have lots of sweaty guys getting the children to participate:

They get Indigo to REALLY participate:

It's a fun party! :)

Determined to Finish

When we went to Disney in 2009, I think I blogged about two days of our trip. My children were very upset with me. So I'm determined to finish this year. I just wish Grandma hadn't taken over 800 photos!
