Uh Oh!

Well, our first set of goats aren't supposed to be due to kid until March 20th. That's a full three weeks away. But I'm concerned that Persephone and Misha may have different plans and may have gotten themselves bred in secret a cycle earlier. That would put them due...

tomorrow!

Yep, when I'm still at a show. Of course, goats can kid plus or minus five days from their due dates, so if they are due tomorrow, that doesn't mean they'll kid tomorrow. And most of our goats like to keep us waiting an agonizingly long time, so we should be ok.

Good thing Grandma is here. (Not quite what she bargained for when she decided to pay us a visit). She's got instructions to check butts every 2 hours and call me if anything is coming out! :)

I know, I know, I'm evil for getting a kick out of this.

Here is a photo of Persephone that I took tonight (she's the fat one on the right):

And here is Misha:

The poor thing is looking at me as if to say, "Am I done carrying these things yet?"

Sorry, Mish, I know exactly how you feel!

Happy Birthday, Indigo!

Today is Indigo's Birthday - she's FOUR!

She's very proud of herself for blowing out her candles on her ultra yummy breakfast birthday cake that Emery and Fletcher made:

Time for our birthday tradition of hugging everyone before getting your present:

The children dragged mom and dad out of bed, so we're looking a bit rough:

Grammy made Indigo and her doll the most adorable matching night gowns:

Mom and Dad got Indi a purple spinny skirt:

So far Indigo is having a good birthday!

The Littles go Horse Back Riding

Jim and I have categorized our children. Brett, Cole, and Emery are the "seniors", Fletcher and Greyden are the "juniors", and Hewitt, Indigo, and Jade are the "littles".

Grandma toook the seniors and juniors to Disney Quest, so Jim and I got to spend some time with the littles. Hewitt kept saying how much he wanted to ride the monorail.

So we headed out.

First we took a bus ride to Epcot.

Then we took a monorail to the transportation and ticket center.

Then we took a ferry boat the rest of the way to the Magic Kingdom.

Then we took a train ride to Mickey's Toon Town Fair.

Then we took our feet around:

We finally ended up with a horse back ride:

Wow - that was lots of different transportation. Hewitt was very happy. :D

Happy Jade

Apparently, being in Florida really agrees with Jade. She was so cute and happy during our vacation:

OK, she was sad once:

But then she was happy again:

Hmmmm... maybe I'll have to take her back. :D

Snow White

Jim and I took the littles (Hewitt, Indigo, and Jade) for a walk. Jade had fallen asleep when we found Snow White. Indigo had a very long conversation with Snow White. I didn't hear all of it, but this was some of what I heard:

Snow White: Where are you from, Indi?

Indigo: Indiana.

Snow White: Oh, I hear the kingdom of Indiana is just lovely.

Indigo was enthralled.

Hewitt, however, wanted nothing to do with Snow White. Snow White was quite aware of this.

Snow White: Who is that?

Indigo: That's my brother.

Snow White: What does he like to do?

Indigo: He likes to bug me.

Snow White: How does he bug you?

Indigo: With his hands and his feet and his head.

Snow White: Oh my, you're very lucky to have a brother.

Indigo: I have lots of brothers.

Snow White: How many brothers do you have?

Indigo: Eleven.

Snow White: OH MY! And do you have any sisters?

Indigo: Yes, I have five.

To which mom (between her laughing) said, "OK, Indigo, say good-bye to Snow White."

Snow White then said: May I give you a kiss? (Which was special b/c Snow White hadn't kissed any of the little girls before Indigo, she had just blown them a kiss.)

But then, I always knew Indigo was special. :)

More Disney

On the Disney bus headed toward Epcot:

Colter was the only one who wanted to go on Mission Space. The rest of us knew we'd vomit if we did. So here are the older kids waiting for Cole:

While we were doing Mission Space and Test Track, the girls were having fun with Grandma at the Seas:

A candid shot of me holding my baby:

We're all back together again, so we decided to say hi to some famous people:

Happy Fletcher:

Sleepy Jade:

Cool Emery (despite mom making him wear pink):

Our internet is so slow it takes me forever to get these uploaded, but I'll get through the whole vacation some day. :)

Back from Disney World

We're back from our vacation. We had wonderful park weather (mostly 70's) and still managed to get in a lot of swimming time. Thanks Grandma and Poppy for working at Disney World to make it possible!

I've got tons of photos to post. So get ready!

Driving to the airport (just a bit excited):

Brett and Cole crocheting and knitting while we wait for the plane:

Daddy showing Jade the airplanes and the luggage being loaded:

Yeah! We're finally in Florida - even if it only is the airport (and look - proof that I was there too):

Playing outside at the All Sports Resort (a wonderful hotel for the kids if you want a cheap place to stay on Disney property):

Fletcher playing around near the football field:

Indigo is just really excited to be at Disney World (that's a huge helmet she's sitting on):

Jade didn't want to go to bed, even though we had a big day at Epcot the next day. Did you notice her new bangs? Jim suggested she'd rather have bangs than hair in her face while we were in Florida:

And Hewitt's mind is trying devise some way he can postpone bedtime:

It was a great first day, and nothing much even happened!
